Our Amazing Ambassadors

Hi, my name is Alice and I feel very privileged to be an ambassador for Dansez. People tell me I have a very strong work ethic, this is probably because I started dancing at a relatively late age. I love dance with all my heart, I cannot imagine myself doing anything else!

I dance at The Big Dance Company under the guidance of Fiona Richardson. With my dance school we take part in lots of competitions and dance events and we work with lots of professional dancers and choreographers. When I went to Move It in 2019, I performed on the main stage as a member of “Cornish Roots” which is a dance company directed by Fiona Richardson and Lukas McFarlane. Early this year I was so fortunate to receive a bursary from the “Lord Lieutenant’s Award for Young Talented in Cornwall”.

I study lyrical, contemporary, acro, commercial, jazz, ballet and musical theatre. My two favourite styles are lyrical and contemporary. I love lyrical because I always like to tell a story when I am dancing and I love contemporary because it combines aspects of ballet and modern/jazz.

Maizie with Samantha at Move It 2019

Hi I'm Maizie-Lea, and I've been dancing for 9 years. I was only 3 years old when I made my first stage appearance. I love all genres of dance but Ballet is my first love. At only 9 years old I was chosen to dance with the Professional ballet company the Vienna Festival Ballet in their tour of the Nutcracker. I have been competing in dance competitions since the age of 5 winning many trophies and being asked to dance in the bursaries and qualified for the All England finals. Since the age of 8 I successfully gained a scholarship to the Louise Brown York Scholars. At 10 I was invited to join The Ballet Associates taught by the Royal Ballets Graham Fletcher. At 11 years I left York Scholars to further my education with the Northern Ballet School and recently secured a Place at Elmhurst Summer school. I continue to work hard to secure my future and follow my dreams in the world of Dance.

Harriet Rose

Hi, I’m Harriet Rose, I live in North Yorkshire. I feel very honoured to be asked to be an ambassador for Dansez as I adore their clothes, especially the floral designs.

I dance at St Hilda’s Studios of Classical Ballet I started there at 3 years old. Now I help teach the younger dance classes. Nothing makes me happier than passing on my love of dance and when the little ones ask me for advice and call me ‘Miss Harriet’ my heart melts.

As well as doing classical ballet I also enjoy doing jazz dancing at Hannah Verity Dance Studios

Dancing is my passion but I also enjoy singing, playing the flute and acting.

I’ve been in many shows with my dance schools and have also performed with Whitby Area Musical Theatre Company. My favourite lead roles I played were Marta in ‘The Sound of Music’, Brat in ‘Whistle Down the Wind’ and Loretta the dancer in ‘Bugsy Malone’.

Here are a few of my favourite things:
Sweets: Harribo (also my nickname)
School Subject: Maths & Science
Shakespeare Play: A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Hello, I’m Daisy and I’m very happy to represent Dansez as an ambassador! I go to The Kelly Shirley School of Dance and have been dancing since I was 3 years old. I have loved every minute of it!! I’m part of the competition troupe and we perform and compete in most styles of dance. I enjoy them all, but I particularly like contemporary. I am proud to have represented my country and achieved gold medals in 2 Dance World Cups, one in Romania and one in Germany. With hard work, I would like to continue with these achievements in the future. As much as I like working as part of a team, I also like to be independent, so enjoy performing as a soloist.
