‘Bodies’ to Challenge and Change
Recent events around the world have highlighted yet again the racial prejudices that sadly still exist in our society.
In response to this Brandon Lawrence and poet Davy Lazare decided to address the issue through a very powerful and stunning short film. We are also very proud that our MD’s daughter, Lex, a cellist undergraduate at the Guildhall School of Music was invited to collaborate on the piece.
We have great pleasure in sharing some thoughts from Brandon and a link to the piece.
The severity of recent incidents during the Corona pandemic has forced the question of race, privilege and equality to be asked yet again. I personally couldn’t sit back, ignorant to the plight of communities across the world, so had a vision to bring dance, music and spoken word together in one film with an aim to present the reality faced by a community I’m apart of.
