BL by Dansez New Masterclass Series
Dansez and Brandon Lawrence are delighted to announce the BL by Dansez Masterclass series starting this November. This special initiative makes outstanding professional dance training more accessible and affordable for young dancers, bringing Brandons expertise directly into dance schools across the UK.
Selected dance schools that already work with Dansez and proudly wear their bespoke Dansez school uniform will have the opportunity to host a BL by Dansez Masterclass within their own studios. Created to make exceptional professional teaching more accessible, the initiative brings Brandon's expertise directly to schools, allowing dancers to learn in a familiar environment alongside their teachers and fellow students, without families having to travel across the country.
Brandon Lawrence brings an extraordinary depth of experience and artistry to this new series. Originally from Great Britain, Brandon trained at the prestigious Royal Ballet School before joining Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2011, where he became Principal Dancer in 2019.
Since the 2023/24 season, Brandon has been Principal Dancer with Ballett Zürich under the direction of Cathy Marston, continuing to perform a diverse repertoire that combines classical tradition with innovative contemporary work.
Alongside his performing career, Brandon is also a qualified dance teacher, having completed his teaching qualification with bbodance. He continues to share his passion for dance through teaching and is also proud to be a Patron of bbodance, NEBT and Voices of British Ballet.
Beyond his exceptional technical ability, Brandon has a unique ability to connect with audiences and dancers alike. Whether performing on stage or sharing his knowledge in the studio, his passion, generosity and understanding of dance shine through. This combination of artistry, technical excellence and emotional connection was recognised in 2025 when Brandon received the Dance Prize of the Friends of Ballett Zürich, celebrating his outstanding contribution to the world of dance.
These sessions provide a rare opportunity for dancers to work directly with Brandon on their own personal goals, whether developing technical skills, improving performance quality, preparing for auditions or exploring specific areas of their dance journey.
Dansez has enjoyed a long and special collaboration with Brandon through the creation of his exclusive BL by Dansez collection. The collection reflects a shared passion for quality and thoughtful design that helps dancers to perform at their best. Over the years, Brandon has become a valued member of the Dansez family, with a special relationship built on shared values and a commitment to inspiring the next generation of dancers. This masterclass series is a natural extension of that partnership, and Dansez is proud to bring Brandon’s knowledge and expertise directly to the dance schools we partner with.
The series has been designed to support dancers at every stage of their journey, with open recreational classes, more technical sessions and private one-to-one coaching for advanced students.
The first masterclass will take place at Rhodes Academy of Dance in Windsor, where dancers will have the opportunity to experience Brandon’s inspiring teaching first-hand within their own studio environment. Places are limited, making this a very special opportunity to gain valuable insight from one of the world's leading dancers.
