Yorkshire Ballet Seminars Go Sustainable
Whilst the Covid Pandemic has certainly been a difficult time for the creative industries we are so pleased that we have been able to continue to work alongside many great dance schools and institutes, supporting their work whilst continuing to design beautiful uniforms.
We of course knew of Iain as a former Principal of Birmingham Royal Ballet and then finally we had the pleasure of spending time with him at a dancing festival in Portugal in November 2019. This chance meeting led to some great ideas about a collaboration but little did we know what was awaiting for us all around the corner. So to finally arrive at a launch of a new uniform for YBS is very exciting for us all.
"The Yorkshire Ballet Seminars are thrilled to be collaborating with the wonderful team at Dansez on a special range of dancewear for our wonderful students to enjoy. Just like YBS, Dansez has 45 years of experience, not only are their products of the highest quality and beautiful on the eye, but they are also produced in an ethical and planet friendly way using regenerated fabrics. A dancer creates such beauty but we must all play our part, no matter how small, in striving for sustainability and protecting the world for future dancers to flourish in.”
Iain Mackay, Director Yorkshire Ballet Seminars
Our new partnership with Iain McKay at the Yorkshire Ballet Seminars is a proud moment for the Dansez team as we continue to drive forward our mission to have every dance student wearing sustainable dance clothes. We can only achieve that if schools embrace the opportunity with us and look to a future that places dance centre stage of the #wastetowear revolution.
What has made this new collaboration even more special is that we have been able to feature designs that have been created with the multi talented Brandon Lawrence, Principal dancer at Birmingham Royal Ballet. Our partnership with Brandon extends to his own signature collection - BL by dansez.
